I like to make stuff.

My work isn’t restricted to a specific medium. Over the past few years I’ve experimented with drawing, painting, photography, digital collage, printmaking, embroidery, weaving, video, installation, sculpture, and combinations of all the above. I have found I’m most “successful” when I let the ideas behind the work dictate the medium. Currently, I seem to be more inclined towards embroidery and textile-based work (but who knows, that may change tomorrow).

Though the themes throughout my pieces may vary, I’m most interested in topics regarding the body: how it functions (or fails to function), what makes a body, and - my favourite area to explore – the distinction between body and self. I take a lot of inspiration from poetry and literature, romanticism, spiritual practices, and psychology.

In my design work, I focus primarily on graphic design and am particularly interested in book design and branding.
